Is an audition required to join the choir?
An audition is not required to join the Music & Worship Arts Ministry. The ministry is open to members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church who are called to ministry through song and have attended New Members Orientation.
When can I join the choir?
The choir is open for membership during the first month of every quarter. While New Members are encouraged to participate in rehearsals prior to Choir Orientation (to familiarize themselves with the extensive repertoire of songs), they are not permitted to minister until completion of Orientation. Orientation schedule will be set by the Overseer of MWA.
The choir is expected to be present and ministering during all regularly scheduled Sunday Services, Wednesday Bible Study, revivals, and special panned events.

If I join the choir, am I required to sing at all services?
The expectation is for choir members to minister at all services at the location they attend.

Is the choir required to sing during Family Night Service?
Bishop Walker and Mount Zion will focus on one Family Night Service per month with the intention of bringing the OHB Family and Antioch Family together as one Mount Zion Church Family for baptism, communion, and fellowship.

How do I join the Praise Team?
By joining the choir, you are automatically a Praise Team Member. Praise Leaders are appointed based on Spiritual and Musical Maturity. (I Chronicles 16:9-23; 15:16-28)
