> Mount Zion Baptist Church is a Word-centered, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural ministry serving Nashville, Tennessee and the global community. Founded in 1866, Mt. Zion is one of the oldest churches in Nashville, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places since 1980.

The church is led by Bishop Joseph W. Walker III, D.Min, who has served since 1992, growing the ministry from 175 members to several thousand. Mt. Zion operates under the tagline "Growing Believers, Producing Achievers" and serves as an oasis of hope within the Nashville community and globally.
